Don't Shove Your Religion Down My Throat!

I'm just a man trying to do my best, and trying to teach the virtues of doing so, and yet people tell me off for it, from time to time.  They usually say, "Don't Force your Religion On Me" or some variation of that kind of complaint.

Hey, I agree with the principle and their sentiment, but not the application.  Because I'm not forcing anyone!  In fact, it was devout religious Christians who founded this nation who gave us the legacy of religious freedom, so that we would not have to bow to any religious authority except for Jesus, or none at all, if we so chose! 

But those who don't understand, are the ones who want to force their views on me, and everyone else.

They want me to pay for their health care bill, whether I want to or not, through taxation by force.

They want me to pay for their bank bail outs, whether I want to or not, through taxation by force.

They want me to pay for their wars overseas, whether I want to or not, through taxation by force.

They want me to pay for their:

abortions,
war on poverty,
welfare for the poor,
housing for the homeless,
bail outs for failed corporations,

medical,
medicare,
social security,
interest on the "national" debt (fraud)
war on drugs,
war on herbs and alternative medicine,

public schools (that kicked out any mention of God),
universities (that don't allow any mention of "intelligent design"),
indoctrination of socialism and "government benefits"

--they want me to pay for all of that and much more, whether I want to or not, through taxation by force.

The true Biblical Church is not about force at all, either.  All donations to the Church in Acts were to be totally voluntary.

Unfortunately, ignorant Christian zealots who pushed for prohibition in the 1920's, and who advocate the "drug war" today and laws against homosexuality, give God a bad name.  God said to let those who do evil, to continue to do it.

Revelation 22:11 He who is unjust, let him be unjust still; he who is filthy, let him be filthy still; he who is righteous, let him be righteous[e] still; he who is holy, let him be holy still.” 

What my angry critics don't seem to understand is that I have no intention of trying to force anything on anyone.

In fact, on nearly every issue, my position is one of "no force"!

I believe Government should stop enforcing unjust and arbitrary immigration laws.

I believe Government should stop enforcing unjust and arbitrary patent laws.

I believe Government should stop enforcing unjust and arbitrary tariff laws.

I believe Government should stop enforcing unjust and arbitrary:

inapplicable & overly enforced income taxation laws,
gun laws,
drug laws,
overseas wars,
enabling and enfeebling welfare systems for rich and poor alike,
socialist education indoctrination from kindergarten through graduate schools,
and virtually every thing that the government does as it's all uneconomic, and therefore, destructive.

Please note that income taxes in America are collected by force, by threat of force, which is by extortion.

When I quote the Bible, I don't force my view on anyone.  Feel free to stop reading, unsubscribe, or even slander me as you see fit.  Note, my emails are advocacy, yes, but it is FREE, and no force is involved anywhere in the process.

In fact, there are only three ways to get people to do what you want.  1.  You can threaten them by force or trick them with fraud, (both criminal).  2.  You can pay them with money (SILVER!).  3.  You can convince them through reason and persuasion.  I rely on 2 and 3, not #1, which is force, and criminal.

Here is a very powerful passage from Habakkuk on these topics.  A nation that relies on extortion of its own people to support itself is a kingdom divided against itself, and will not stand.

Regarding the nation that gains wealth by extortion:

Habakkuk 2
 6 "Will not all of them taunt him with ridicule and scorn, saying,
       " 'Woe to him who piles up stolen goods
       and makes himself wealthy by extortion!
       How long must this go on?'

 7 Will not your debtors [f] suddenly arise?
       Will they not wake up and make you tremble?
       Then you will become their victim.

 8 Because you have plundered many nations,
       the peoples who are left will plunder you.
       For you have shed man's blood;
       you have destroyed lands and cities and everyone in them.

 9 "Woe to him who builds his realm by unjust gain
       to set his nest on high,
       to escape the clutches of ruin!

 10 You have plotted the ruin of many peoples,
       shaming your own house and forfeiting your life.

 11 The stones of the wall will cry out,
       and the beams of the woodwork will echo it.

 12 "Woe to him who builds a city with bloodshed
       and establishes a town by crime!

 13 Has not the LORD Almighty determined
       that the people's labor is only fuel for the fire,
       that the nations exhaust themselves for nothing?

 14 For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD,
       as the waters cover the sea.

Matthew 12:25
Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, "Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand.
